We’ve waxed poetic about the power of visuals and how they help the human brain process information better (and have certainly published enough infographics to have an inkling about what works). But are infographics still as awe-worthy as when they first came in to digital vogue six years ago?
It’s a fairly contentious topic, according to this Forbes piece, polarizing marketing pros and design icons across the board. Some believe they’re a magic antidote for content burnout while others think they’ve jumped the shark and employ too many superfluous design elements. Regardless of where you stand on the spectrum, one thing is certain: infographics are an effective, versatile way to express complex information to provide context and meaning.
